Unknown Credit Card Charges

Regarding unknown charges, please remember the following:

A bank has placed an authorization hold on recently modified or canceled orders. When you place an order, Deckers contacts the issuing bank to confirm the validity of the payment method. Your bank reserves the funds until the transaction is processed or the authorization expires, but this is not a charge. If you cancel the order, the authorization will be removed from your account in accordance with your bank's policies. To revoke an authorization, contact your bank to learn how long authorizations for online orders are valid.

An order was placed by a family member, friend or colleague who has access to your card number.

Additional credit or debit cards are associated with your account.

An item is shipped that is part of an unfulfilled or pre-order order.

An order containing a gift is shipped.

An order was split into multiple shipments or shipped to multiple addresses.

An order was shipped prior to a failed charge attempt. In this case, we will attempt to contact the customer twice. After two business days without a response, we will attempt to charge the outstanding balance to the credit card on file.

Shipping errors

If your order is listed as delivered but you have not received it, you must file a claim with our company. We will not refund or replace the item without an open claim. These orders may be subject to a full investigation with the carrier. No refunds or exchanges will be issued until the investigation is complete. The average length of an investigation is eight business days.
